FSU football defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. is working tirelessly to get highly-touted prospects to Tallahassee. However, the Seminoles only have one defensive back committed to the program in three-star safety CJ Heard from Woodward Academy in Atlanta, Georgia (he committed when Marcus Woodson was on staff).
Some fans might be worried that the Seminoles have not seen the benefits of hiring Surtain Sr. However, as a wise man once said: “Patience is a virtue.” FSU is directly involved with over 15 defensive back prospects.
While most know that five-star cornerback Charles Lester III from Riverview High School in Sarasota, Florida is at the top of the target board for the Seminoles, FSU also really likes the skill set of four-star athlete Jalewis Solomon (who is being recruited as a cornerback) from Schley County High School in Ellaville, Georgia.
