With the rest of the season for FSU football looking bleak just one quarter into their homecoming game Saturday against Wake Forest – trailing 10-0 and the Deacons going for it on fourth down deep in the Seminoles’ territory looking for more – one man stepped up and took care of things…the same way he has done it for much of his two and a half seasons in Tallahassee.
That man was Brian Burns, and the defensive end came off the edge for a sack that gave the Noles the ball back and sparked a 38 point unanswered run that helped the Seminoles keep their hopes alive of a winning season (a streak dating back to 1977) and heading to a bowl game (dating back to 1982).
