FSU football fans everywhere breathed a sigh of relief last month when arguably the top cornerback prospect in the country, Akeem Dent, shut down his recruitment. Out of Palm Beach Central in South Florida, Dent has been a known and highly-regarded prospect for years and strengthens an already-elite defensive back class.
Dent was a five star for much of the 2019 recruiting cycle, but he was slightly downgraded to a high four-star after his commitment. Listed at 6’0, 180 pounds, Dent has the size to play corner, and is just a tad underweight. Although throughout high school he played a mix of safety and corner, Dent projects as much more of a cornerback in college.
