FSU football looks to be moving more and more to a 3-4 defensive look than in years past. That’s not to say they’ll run 3-4 exclusively in 2019.
One term that you’ve heard players and FSU defensive coordinator Harlon Barnett say is they want to be “multiple” on defense.
Basically, that means they want to be able to play different fronts and coverages and based on what the offense is trying to do.
The Noles have traditionally been a 4-3 defense in years past, operating out of the nickel a ton which has its advantages when you have the personnel.
