A large portion of FSU football fans thought having Deondre Francois back in 2018 would give the Noles a good chance to rebound after a dismal 2017 season.
However, what I saw in the final few games of 2017 was a true freshman in James Blackman who I thought should be the starter for the Noles in 2018.
After all, Francois missed all of 2017 and all of spring and summer 2018 recovering from the knee injury he suffered against Alabama in the first game of the season.
Of course, the Noles were moving from a pro-style to a spread offense under Willie Taggart and I was curious how Francois would perform with such a limited number of actual reps in the spread offense.
