After the first 58 game minutes on Saturday, fans of the FSU football team who were born after 1976 were about to get a chance to experience what it felt like to see the Seminoles have a losing season – breaking a streak that is among the longest in the history of the sport and one of the few positive things for the program over the last two seasons.
But, a funny thing happened on the way to the funeral: the Seminoles got a miraculous play and a defensive stand to keep hope alive of not just a bowl game, but avoiding that first losing season since the legendary Bobby Bowden’s first campaign over four decades ago.
