For much of the last three decades, the yearly battle between FSU football and the rival Florida Gators has been for placement in the top 10 or five in the polls, spots in conference or national titles games and even a national title itself during the 1996 season that we would rather not like to talk about or remember ever took place, thank you very much.
When the Seminoles head to Gainesville on Saturday for the 62nd meeting between the two teams, none of those things will be taking place as the Noles and their rivals limp into the game with identical 4-6 records, both bringing in some of the worst offenses this season in the FBS after having such high hopes when the season first started.
