Florida State coach Mike Norvell detected a touch of irritability among his team as preseason camp closed.
It had been a long, grueling month with the players put through their physical and mental paces as the coaching staff challenged them to compete daily. All that preparation finally comes to fruition when the Seminoles host Duquesne Saturday at Doak Campbell Stadium to open the 2022-23 football season.
“I’m excited to see our guys compete,” said Norvell. “I’ve used the term irritable. We’ve had that and the guys have competed hard. We’ve been physical throughout fall camp, trying to establish that identity and our guys have embraced it.
