A month ago, Florida State was riding high after an impressive 44-14 win over Boston College that helped the Seminoles improve to 4-0. It was the best start to a season since 2015 and propelled the program into the top 25 rankings for the first time since the beginning of the 2019 season.
But three straight losses to ranked opponents: No. 22 Wake Forest (31-21), No. 14 N.C. State (19-17) and No. 4 Clemson (34-28) have taken some of the shine off the start and left FSU limping into the bye week with a 4-3 record.
