FSU earns 4th seed; UF is 7th seed in NCAA Tournament

Florida State and Florida are back in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament, with both teams earning spots among the 68 teams headed to Indianapolis.

The Seminoles earned the No. 4 seed in the East Region and will face No. 13 seed UNC Greensboro (21-8, 13-5 Southern) Saturday in Indianapolis.

The Spartans earned the automatic bid for the Southern Conference. It’s the fourth time they’ve qualified for the NCAA Tournament.

This will be the fifth meeting between the two programs and the first since 2011-12. FSU holds a 4-0 mark in the series.

FSU finished behind Virginia in the race for the regular-season ACC championship and made it all the way to the conference final before losing to Georgia Tech 80-75 Saturday.
