Jammie Robinson has always dreamed of playing professional football, and that dream came closer to reality when he was selected by the Carolina Panthers during the NFL Draft Saturday in Kansas City. The defensive back from Florida State was chosen with the No. 145th overall pick in the fifth round.
Robinson became the first Seminoles player picked in this year’s draft and also continued Florida State’s impressive streak of having at least one NFL draft pick for 40 consecutive years. The program has a strong legacy of producing talented defensive backs players such as Asante Samuel Jr.
