FSU defensive tackle Dennis Briggs Jr. out for season with an injury

Florida State’s defensive tackle Dennis Briggs Jr. will miss the rest of the season with an undisclosed injury.

“Dennis was having a great year,” coach Mike Norvell said Monday. “He missed this last week’s game [Syracuse] and unfortunately he’ll not be able to play the rest of the season.”

The redshirt sophomore appeared in four games, earning starts against Wake Forest and Louisville and it was against the Cardinals on Sept. 25 where Briggs suffered an undisclosed injury in the first half on a chop block. He returned in the second half to help the Seminoles climb back into the game before eventually losing 31-23.
