As first reported by Noles247, defensive end Xavier Peters is currently suspended for a violation of the team rules. Peters has not practiced with the team since the Seminoles returned from Spring break, but he is still with the team. While there is no set timeline for when Peters will return, he is still listed on the 2019-2020 roster.
When Peters arrived on campus in August, rumors concerning his academic eligibility swirled until he was finally deemed eligible before the start of the 2018 season. The Ohio native appeared in two games last season making his collegiate debut in the Seminoles’ victory over the Demon Decons.
