FSU basketball rises in AP Poll, remains out of USA Today Coaches Poll

The Florida State basketball team reaped the rewards of a home win over No. 12 North Carolina in this week’s Associated Press poll, rising one spot from No. 24 in last week’s rankings to No. 23 in this week’s, which were released Monday afternoon.

The Seminoles rose one spot after a 1-1 week which saw them lose at No. 15 Miami on Sunday after defeating the Tar Heels on Wednesday.

After not appearing in the AP Poll in each of the first five weeks, this marks the fifth consecutive week the Seminoles have been ranked.

In the USA Today Coaches Poll, FSU remains the first team out, receiving 48 votes this week after garnering 50 a week ago.
