No. 14 FSU basketball (24-6, 12-5 ACC) stormed from a 33-19 halftime deficit to defeat No. 15 Virginia Tech 73-64 in overtime.
The win secured the No. 4 seed in the ACC Tournament and double-bye. It wasn’t pretty in the first half as FSU fell in love with the three-point shot against Virginia Tech’s zone.
FSU was 3 of 16 from beyond the arc and shot less than 30 percent from the field in the first half. They took 26 total shots in the first half with 16 of them being three-pointers!
That’s a recipe for disaster since FSU isn’t the best three-point shooting team.
