FSU basketball turned in a good defensive effort against Fordham Friday night in the first round of the Jamaica Classic at Montego Bay.
The ‘Noles were led by freshman Mfiondu Kabengele who scored 15 points, and Terance Mann with 14 points respectively.
FSU basketball led at the half 35-18 and ultimately won the game 67-43. The ‘Noles turned in an incredible defensive effort, holding Fordham to 23.1 percent (12 of 52) from the floor and 4.5 percent (1 of 22) from long distance while forcing 23 turnovers.
The ‘Noles offensively left some points on the floor at the charity stripe going (12 of 25) for 48 percent.
