After two straight ESPN projections in which Florida State hoops fell in Joe Lunardi’s bracketology projection (despite winning), the Seminoles are headed back in the right direction.
The ’Noles had dropped from a 3-seed to a 4-seed and then to a 5-seed in just a pair of consecutive projections, but they’re back on the 4-line, per Lunardi. His latest projection has 4th-seeded FSU opening play in Hartford, Connecticut, against 13-seed Charleston. The winner of that game would face the victor of 5-seed Mississippi State and 12-seed Lipscomb.
The Sweet-16 matchup for whichever squad emerged from that pod would face the survivor of 1-seed Michigan, 8-seed Kansas State, 9-seed Butler, and a 16-seed that I’m not even gonna mention in Louisville to decide the top half of the South regional bracket.
