FSU pitchers have been quite busy on the bump the last seven days. Some pitchers have looked fresh, other have looked rusty, but there’s a lot to be excited about. I’ve had the chance to get around to some outings and take video of the Seminoles in the FCSL.
Incoming freshman Carson Montgomery made his collegiate debut last night. Montgomery looked fresh after not having faced live hitters since March. His four-seam fastball sat at 93-96 MPH and the two-seam sat 91-95 with significant arm-side run. The slider (80-83 MPH) flashed plus and tunneled well with the two-seam, as you can see below.
