FSU baseball used a clutch pitching performance, some nice defensive play and a little luck to pull out a 1-0 victory over No. 5 seed Arkansas Saturday night.
FSU starting pitcher Drew Parrish was outstanding after giving up some hard hit balls for outs in the first couple of innings.
Both teams has some opportunities to score but both pitchers buckled down with some big time strikeouts in those situations. The Arkansas pitcher got a lot of help from the umpire behind the plate in a number of instances where he called balls in the other batter’s box strikes.
