After a rocky season that included their longtime skipper making history and a slump in the middle of the season that had some wondering if they would even make it into the postseason, the FSU baseball team will get a chance to join the fun of June after being selected on Monday for the NCAA Tournament’s field of 64 teams.
The announcement came shortly after noon that the Seminoles, with a record of 36-21 in the 40th and final season under the helm of longtime head coach Mike Martin, got one of the at large berths in the tournament that continues a streak dating back to the 1978 season – two seasons before Martin took over.
