We’ve seen FSU baseball get hot earlier this season. They beat Florida and swept Miami while looking like one of the best teams in the nation.
However, shortly after those wins, they lost a series against Wake Forest. The Noles just became the first team to take a series against Notre Dame and find themselves in another situation where their momentum could be stopped against an opponent they should beat.
FSU is getting close to being in a position to host a regional, and a loss against Florida Gulf Coast (26-17, 12-6 Atlantic Sun) would hurt those chances a great deal.
