FSU players celebrate a Drew Mendoza homerun during FSU baseball's NCAA regional game against Florida Atlantic Img 1658
FSU baseball (13-8, 8-7 ACC) almost wasted an outstanding start from pitcher Jackson Anderson Wednesday evening.
Anderson had a perfect game through 6.2 innings, but a homerun with two-outs took away the no-hitter, shutout, and perfect game.
However, the FSU offense responded in the bottom half of the frame to give the Noles an 8-1 lead they wouldn’t relinquish.
Anderson finished the game with six strikeouts and zero walks. The FSU bullpen came in and allowed two consecutive hits and a walk before getting out of a bases-loaded jam to end the threat.
