It was maybe the most shocking outcome in all of college baseball to open the 2017 season. FSU baseball, ranked in the top five of almost every single poll, was held to one hit in the opener of their season, losing 3-0 to Virginia Commonwealth of all teams.
Well, the bats at the plate and arms on the mound woke up when the weekend came around – taking the next two games in convincing fashion, including an 11-3 victory Sunday over the Rams to take the three game series.
