TALLAHASSEE — Do you want the job?
Brad Lawing mulled over the question presented to him by Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher, weighing the pros and cons.
With 35 years of coaching experience, Lawing was perfectly content with what he accomplished in his career and accepted that his two years at UF could've been his last in the profession. But Lawing still does not have a national championship on his lengthy résumé, and he viewed FSU as a program that could put him in a position to win one before he retires.
So Lawing, within 45 minutes of talking to Fisher, called his wife, Laura, and told her they were moving from Gainesville.
