As Shane Burnham recalls the time spent as a young boy growing up around the hallowed halls of the Florida State football program, a smile forms on his face. It was as if the years started to fade away and for a few brief moments, Burnham found himself transported back in time.
His father, Wally, had brought the family to Tallahassee after joining Bobby Bowden’s coaching staff in 1985. For the next eight years, as Shane Burnham grew, so did the Seminoles program, which would go on to claim its first national championship in 1993.
