Jacques Patrick came to FSU football as a four-star running back in the 2015 recruiting cycle. Five-star running back Dalvin Cook was already the established starter in Tallahassee, and five-star Cam Akers came to Tallahassee the year after Dalvin Cook left early for the NFL.
Needless to say, Jacques Patrick didn’t get many opportunities to be the featured running back. However, Patrick still had a solid FSU career, totaling 1,790 rushing yards with 17 touchdowns.
He was solid in the passing game too, totaling 47 receptions for 356 yards and one touchdown. A big back, Patrick finally began to come into his own the last two seasons in Tallahassee, punishing would-be tacklers and fighting for extra yards behind a sub-par offensive line.
