Earlier today, the Florida State defense got deeper and more talented at the linebacker position, adding the commitment of blue-chip prospect Xavier Peters. Now, the Seminoles got nastier up front, securing a written commitment from four-star defensive tackle Dennis Briggs. And they stole him right away from the rival Miami Hurricanes as well.
Briggs (6-4, 252) committed to the ’Noles this weekend while on his official visit to FSU. He’d taken an official to South Carolina last weekend and Miami the weekend prior and was considered by many to be leaning toward the Hurricanes.
