Florida State football has added to its rather shallow quarterback depth, as quarterback Wyatt Rector will transfer to Tallahassee after a semester with the Western Michigan Broncos and a very brief sojourn at Lenoir-Rhyne University in North Carolina.
As first reported by Brendan Sonnone of Noles 247, Rector (6’4, 231) will begin at FSU as a preferred walk-on, but could become a scholarship player in the near future, depending upon what happens with his hardship waiver application. Rector redshirted with WMU in the 2018 season, but he’s originally a Floridian out of Leesburg High School.
