Florida State’s second-half comeback comes up short as the Noles fall to UNC 96-85

Florida State men’s basketball (16-12, 7-10) fell to North Carolina (18-11, 10-7) Monday night 96-85 as their excellent shooting night and second-half comeback fell short. Jamir Watkins led the way with 26, and FSU shot 50% from three, which on most nights would be enough for the Seminoles. Unfortunately, Florida State could not contain UNC the entire night, as the Tar Heels scored 49 in the first half, 47 in the second, and RJ Davis dropped 20 points to finish off Florida State. Malique Ewin went down early in the second half and, after checking back into the game for about 30 seconds, did not return.
