On Friday, Florida State Seminoles running back Cam Akers was drafted 52nd overall by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2nd Round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Akers is a fan-favorite of Seminoles, having run from with heart and grit behind poor offensive lines for three seasons. For all his efforts, he’ll likely go down as one of the ten best running backs in Florida State history, amassing more than 3,000 yards and 30 touchdowns.
The Clinton, MS native displayed amazing power, burst, and balance throughout his FSU career, traits which should serve him well at the next level.
