As of Wednesday, this is what I have been able to gather from multiple Florida State sources about FSU’s offensive coordinator search.
Discussions are ongoing in the pursuit of Houston offensive coordinator Kendal Briles.
Briles runs an almost identical system to Willie Taggart. So if Taggart is to focus more on a CEO role and address the overarching problems with the team, he would have confidence that Briles knows the system and would continue its implementation. Briles has had excellent offenses everywhere he has been.
Last week, I reported that there were significant reservations about Briles, but could not rule him out as a candidate.
