Back in early August, I had a very different expectation of what I’d be writing articles about in late November.
Despite media predictions, I expected FSU to take a step backwards after an undefeated pre-bowl game record in 2023, particularly when DJ Uiagalelei was brought on board (I’ve never felt he was a guy who could lead you to a championship, though I figured he’d be a stabilizing locker room presence and a good role model for the younger QBs in his bridge year). This was shaping up to be a season where FSU would have a couple of losses but provide proof of concept that it was a program showing no signs of fading away any time soon.
