Florida State loses a heartbreaker on the road to Virginia

With both teams fighting for a bye in next week’s ACC Tournament, Florida State (16-13, 7-12) dropped a hotly contested battle in Charlottesville to the Virginia Cavaliers (15-15, 8-11) 60-57. The Seminoles, playing without their second leading scorer, led this one for much of the final 8 minutes, but they couldn’t make enough plays down the stretch to close the deal. As has been the case for much of this season, Florida State’s struggles defending the three proved too costly to overcome. UVA had three guys make 3+ threes.

First Half:

As one might expect in a game against UVA, it was a slow start with neither team scoring for nearly the first two minutes.
