Florida State football’s Dontae Lucas has entered the portal. After being listed as the backup at left guard each of the prior two weeks, Lucas’ name did not appear on the depth chart for this week’s game vs. Wake Forest.
A school spokesperson has confirmed with Tomahawk Nation that Lucas is no longer a part of the Florida State football program.
The former four-star was FSU’s highest-rated offensive player in the 2019 recruiting class. Lucas started seven games in each of the last two seasons. In 2019 as a true freshman, he started five games at right guard and two at left guard.
