In a fitting end to Leonard Hamilton’s illustrious tenure in Tallahassee, Florida State (17-14, 8-12) defeated the SMU Mustangs (22-9, 13-7) in a high energy, back and forth game, 76-69. The win was the 200th ACC victory of Hamilton’s career and ensures FSU of a winning season. The Mustangs, led by former FSU assistant coach Andy Enfield, must now do some serious damage in the ACC Tournament if they hope to make the NCAA Tourney. Florida State was led by Malique Ewin and Jamir Watkins, with the former going for 26 and 8 on 10-13 shooting, and the latter filling up the box score with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks.
