Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher confirmed Wednesday that defensive end Lorenzo Featherston has been medically disqualified because of a knee injury.
Featherston, an ESPN 300 prospect in 2014, showed promise during his freshman season, when he started three games and ended up sixth on the team in tackles for loss. But last season, he only played in four games because of knee issues.
During spring practice, Fisher hinted that Featherston's career would most likely be over. That seems to be official now.
“That's something we had said even back during spring practice," Fisher said.
