It has been a little while since Florida State received a commitment, the last coming from 4-star Shambre Jackson over a month ago. On Friday, the Seminoles picked up a commitment from 3-star DB/LB Shyheim Brown, from Columbus High School.
Modern offenses focus on attacking defenses in the middle of the field by spacing far apart. This requires defenses to matchup with fast, hard-nosed athletes that can play in space. That last sentence describes Browns game and that is what made FSU interested in Brown.
There are some who think Brown may stay at cornerback but I believe he could play the “bandit” position at FSU.
