The Florida State Seminoles basketball team closes out their exhibition season tonight against Valdosta State. The Blazers are the preseason pick to win the Gulf South Conference, just ahead of FSU’s first exhibition opponent, West Florida. They finished in the Division 2 top-15 last season.
As an exhibition, this will be a tune-up with little to take away towards the regular season. However, with the ’Noles set to open the season against Florida at home on November 6th this preseason means a little more than most.
We’ll continue to look for offseason improvements from the players and at how Coach Hamilton might plan to use his rotation, particularly with Phil Cofer reportedly out for about six weeks due to injury.
