Jimbo Fisher announced on Saturday that Golson did not travel with the team to the Peach Bowl and his collegiate career is over.
At the first media availability of Peach Bowl week, Jimbo Fisher announced that Everett Golson did not make the trip to Atlanta with the team citing personal reasons. His collegiate career has come to an end.
Golson started Florida State's first seven games of the 2015 season, leading the Seminoles to a 6-1 record while accumulating 1,778 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and three interceptions. However, Golson suffered an injury against Georgia Tech that caused him to miss the Syracuse game, where Sean Maguire made a big impression and earned the starting job for the remainder of the season.
