TALLAHASSEE — Telvin Smith was a wreck.
He nervously dialed Jimbo Fisher's phone number from the Burger King parking lot in his hometown of Valdosta, Ga., still unsure of what he was even going to say to FSU's newly appointed head coach.
It was National Signing Day 2010, long before Smith became a poster child for what should soon be FSU's unprecedented run of success in the NFL draft
Smith was waffling on his longstanding commitment to FSU and was strongly considering Georgia.
"'Coach, I don't know what I want to do,'" Smith recalled telling Fisher.
