When Florida State’s Derwin James hits the field against Miami, it will be his first time playing against the ’Canes since his true freshman season. Although he missed last season’s matchup due to an injury, James is still more than familiar with the unique atmosphere.
“As a freshman, getting out there, it was kind of moving fast for me, but it was just great being out there. It felt like a dream come true.”
The star defensive back also talked about the reversed targeting call in Saturday’s Wake Forest game. He said he made an effort not to have helmet-to-helmet contact, but in those situations, you can’t even tell.
