Former Seminole quarterback Deondre Francois had a roller-coaster career in Tallahassee. After redshirting in 2015 he won the starting job in 2016, opening the season with a 22-point comeback victory over Ole Miss, the largest in FSU’s history. The ’Noles would go on to win double-digit games that season, beating Michigan in a thriller in the Orange Bowl. It looked like Francois would have a bright future in the garnet and gold.
But it was not to be. In the opening-game showdown against Alabama to start the 2017 season Francois suffered a devastating knee injury and missed the rest of the year.
