The friendship, which began in fourth grade, would follow them to the football field, where the pair found themselves as teammates throughout high school. That included stops at Miami Southridge before finding their way to Homestead High, where they would excel as defensive stalwarts for the Broncos.
“We’ve always been together and always did everything together,” said Anderson. “He’s like my brother, so him and I together [again] makes me happy.”
Anderson and Lyons hoped to continue their careers together at the next level as the college offers started rolling in. Despite receiving attention from various programs, including nearby Miami, the pair signed with Florida State as part of the Seminoles’ 2022 recruiting class.
