Dalvin Cook's trial set for week of August 24th

Dalvin Cook will go to trial on the week of August 24 on his battery charge for allegedly punching a woman outside a Tallahassee Bar. Through his attorney, Cook has denied the charges and has made it clear he will not be accepting any plea deal.

Cook is currently suspended from Florida State football.

The schedule was moved up because Cook's attorney filed a motion demanding a speedy trial Thursday. He told Tomahawk Nation that the reason for the filing was that a new witness came forward after hearing the 911 call, disputing many claims made in it, and by an independent witness.
