Deshaun Watson has already set some lofty goals for the Clemson offense in 2016.
“We have a chance to be one of the best offenses ever in college football, so that's our motivation: to be the best ever,” the 2015 Heisman finalist said last week.
The Tigers will certainly have a shot. Eight offensive starters return, including Watson, running back Wayne Gallman, tight end Jordan Leggett and seven of the top eight receivers on the roster (that includes injured 1,000-yard receiver Mike Williams). Co-offensive coordinators Jeff Scott and Tony Elliott will have another year experience running the offense.
