After months of recruits de-committing and spurning Florida State, Wednesday started with the potential to get ugly. Luckily for the Noles, for the first time in years, signing day actually turned out to be a net positive; besides Solomon Thomas flipping, although the writing was on the wall since Alex Atkins got fired.
They impressively held off Georgia to keep the services of DT Kevin Wynn, becoming the best defensive line commitment for the Seminoles in the Norvell era, and landed another Peach State defender in DB Shamar Arnoux. Most impressively, though, was the flip of Ousmane Kromah from the Bulldogs to the Seminoles, giving FSU an elite running back in Tribe 25 after looking like they would not sign any after Byron Louis left for Florida.
