For the first time since before a decent amount of the FSU football fan base was even born or was just learning what the sport was all about, the Seminoles will not be taking part in a bowl game – the first time since the winter of 1981 that those in garnet and gold won’t have a rooting interest in what takes place during the college football bowl season.
Now, the fan base gets a chance to see other powers take the field – starting out in places from Birmingham to the Bronx and Honolulu to the Bahamas – in one of the 39 FBS bowl games that will be taking place over the next two and a half weeks.
