Dalvin Cook’s name is all over the Florida State record books, as he shredded the ACC for three years as a Seminole. It all began for Cook in his freshman season of 2014, when he set a new FSU freshman rushing record with 1,008 yards on the ground. But Cook didn’t get to enjoy that record for very long.
Because on Wednesday, ’Nole frosh running back Cam Akers ran right past Cook and to the top of the list of Florida State’s rookie rushers. Akers eclipsed Cook during the Independence Bowl against the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles.
