Florida State received some unfortunate news on National Signing Day when four-star defensive lineman Derick Hunter announced he would be flipping his commitment from FSU to Texas A&M and signing with the Aggies.
Hunter was offered by Willie Taggart’s staff at the beginning of the year had been committed to Florida State since this summer and took several visits to Tallahassee, including one for a camp in June.
However, Hunter had been in contact with Jimbo Fisher’s staff at Texas A&M for a while. Fisher actually offered the Florida native back when he was at FSU and the offer stayed committable even as Fisher switched jobs.
