It was announced earlier this week that Atlanta will host the College Football Playoff national-title game for the 2017 season, followed by Santa Clara, Calif., and then New Orleans for the 2019 season. Those venues were selected from a group of nine bids to host the title game, including Houston, South Florida, Charlotte, Detroit, Minnesota and San Antonio.
Orlando did not bid.
Why?
Because apparently city leaders don't feel like Central Florida can put its best foot forward — fiscally or structurally — by the year 2020.
